Operations:

Our service professionals clean, maintain, and care for Dartmouth's buildings and grounds, ensuring the efficient functioning of all academic, research, residential, and administrative buildings. The Operations team includes the following areas: 

  • Custodial Services: Our Custodial team is responsible for the housekeeping services to public spaces, athletics facilities, offices, labs, classrooms, events, and dining facilities.

 

  • Maintenance Services: The professionals within our Maintenance team follow a robust preventative maintenance program and take excellent care of Dartmouth's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.  

 

  • Residential Operations: The Residential Operations staff oversees the facilities needs of Dartmouth's residence halls and academic affinity/special interest buildings as well as College-owned social organization houses. 

 

  • Grounds: Dartmouth's Grounds Services includes the Horticulture and Landscape Services crew who handles seasonal landscaping tasks, Grounds Operations crew who manages everything from room set-up to snow removal, the Trash and Recycling crew who handles all waste removal, the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair crew who inspect and maintain College vehicles, and the Woodlands team at the Second College Grant.

 

  • Woodlands: Foresters in the Woodlands Office, located in Milan, NH, are responsible for sustainably managing all of Dartmouth's woodland properties in northern New England, including the 27,000-acre Second College Grant. The Grant is a multiple-use forested ecosystem, used for educational, research, recreational, wood production, and financial purposes.  

 

  • Science Facilities: This team specializes in the operation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, HVAC and control systems, and major appliances of science-related buildings.
