Health Coaching
Many people find that they are more likely to set reasonable goals and to stick to a plan when they are "accountable" to someone. Like a sports coach, a Health Coach looks at your current "performance," discusses your strengths and weaknesses, helps you set a realistic goal, and suggests ways that you might benefit from changes in your habits or routines. The Health Coach also monitors your progress and "cheers you on."
What is a Health Coach?
A Health Coach is an expert in the health and wellness field who is trained to help you set and work towards achieving your personal health and wellness goals. Coaches have expertise in nutrition, exercise, tobacco cessation, stress management and general health, so whether you're looking to lose weight, lower your blood pressure, get a better handle on stress, or change up your exercise routine, a health coach can help! A Health Coach is not a physician and does not offer medical advice, but will work with you on setting and working towards your goals—at no cost to you!
