The Dartmouth College Faculty/Employee Assistance Program (F/EAP), in partnership with ComPsych/GuidanceResources, gives you, our employees, and your household members confidential support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues. These services are confidential and are provided at no cost.

Confidential Counseling

Receive 8 free counseling sessions per issue per year for concerns such as marital, relationship and family problems; stress, anxiety and depression; grief and loss, job pressures, substance abuse, and more. Learn more. 

Scheduling Appointments

  1. Call 844.216.8308 to speak with a behavioral health professional who will listen to your concerns and refer you to counselors that best meet your needs.
  2. You will be given the counselor's contact information so you can reach out directly to schedule an appointment at a time that works for you.
  3. You will also receive a Confirmation Number to share with your counselor at your first visit.

 

There are many in-network counselors available locally and nationally, and you will be referred to a counselor based on your needs, what issue you are seeking care for, counselor preferences, and availability of counselors. If you prefer to meet specifically with the on-campus counselor, Chris Henderson, MA, LCMHC, please mention this. Please note, you may also search for providers online (see Digital Support), however, not all counselors are listed online, including our on-campus counselor.

On-Campus Counselor

Dartmouth's on-campus counselor is Chris Henderson, MA, LCMHC. Chris is a ComPsych/GuidanceResource employee but is the dedicated F/EAP Counselor for Dartmouth. 

  • Chris is available for in-person appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays and virtual appointments Monday through Friday.
  • You must be located in NH or VT to meet with Chris.

Legal Guidance

Call 844.216.8308 to schedule an appointment to speak with a ComPsych in-house licensed attorney about legal concerns such as divorce, adoption and family law, wills, trusts and estate planning. Learn more. 

If you require representation, you can be referred to a qualified in-network attorney for a free 30-minute consultation and a 25 percent reduction in customary legal fees.

Financial Resources

Call 844.216.8308 to schedule an appointment to speak with a ComPsych in-house CPAs, Certified Financial Planners® and other financial experts for questions related to retirement planning, taxes, relocation, mortgages, insurance, budgeting, debt, bankruptcy and more. Learn more.

Employees may also schedule counseling sessions with Fidelity or TIAA representatives through Dartmouth's Retirement Plan offerings. Financial guidance sessions through Fidelity and TIAA are available at no cost, and can be scheduled on-campus, by phone, or by video.

Work and Lifestyle Support

Let someone else do the research for you -- Child, elder and pet care, moving and relocation, planning a vacation, home repair services, and more. *Please note: 

  • Not all therapists are listed online; for contact information for the on-campus counselor, and other local Upper Valley counselors, please call 844.216.8308.
  • Only therapists located within your state will be shown in your search however, some therapists in VT may also licensed in NH, and vice versa; try using a different zip code to see therapists for a different state. The therapist must be licensed in the state you live in.
  • After you complete your search, click on "Additional Preferences" in the top right corner and select only "in person" to view additional in-person therapists.

Access ComPsych Huddles--these are interactive online groups intended to help you learn, grow and explore topics meaningful to your own well-being goals and self-care journey. When you join a Huddle, you will have the opportunity to learn key information on the topic, engage in discussion with others, and participate in live practices  - all led by a ComPsych care professional. Please note, Huddles are open to all ComPsych clients; these are not Dartmouth-specific groups.
